Since this is also a lifestyle blog, I wanted to share my workout for today. First, let me give you a little bit of background. When I joined the new company, I was thrilled to find out they had a CrossFit-style gym attached to one of the buildings. So, I joined the lunchtime group and began the Monday-Wednesday-Friday workout circuit. What fun! It’s so much easier for me to exercise during the day, since I tend to be too worn out at the end of the day. At first, this intensive 3-day/wk routine was all I could handle, but now I workout on the weekends too. Sometimes it’s a nice trail run and sometimes it’s my own lifting circuit.
So, here is today’s workout:
3-mi timed run – 25 min
5×5 Dead Lifts – 165 lbs
5×5 Clean & Jerks – 135 lbs
5×10 Turkish Get-ups – 35 lbs kettle bell…
3×5 Bench press – 185 lbs
3×10 Hammer curls – 55 lbs dumbbells
I tried to minimize my time between sets to the point of exhaustion!
